Today, successful bidders to deliver a 3-year Employment Support Pilot were announced as the first part of the West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) Devolution Agreement. The Pilot is aimed at tackling unemployment and low pay within 9 target communities across the West Midlands, with a focus on building social capital. The Pilot will help people to engage with targeted employability support, raise aspirations within the community, and support sustainable employment.
WMCA’s tender round was supported by Carley Consult who acted as a commissioning partner, assisting to facilitate the procurement process. WMCA Programme Manager for Employment and Skills, John Hall, said: “We are really pleased with the procurement exercise and excited to work with our successful providers to deliver the Employment Support Pilot over the next 3 years.”
