Adult Education Budget 2021/22 Procurement. 

The ESFA have released the Prior Information Notice for the Adult Education Budget 2021/22 Procurement.

Existing ESFA EB contracts will come to an end on the 31st July 2021 and will not be extended therefore a competitive procurement exercise will open in early 2021.  The ESFA will be seeking to deliver education and training provision and will fund:

  • Statutory entitlements including first full Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications for learners aged 19-23, English and Maths and digital skills for learners aged 19 and over.
  • Flexible tailored provision for adults, including qualifications and components of these and/or non-regulated learning, up to level 2, including provision delivered to unemployed learners through a sector-based work academy programme (SWAP).
  • Level 3 adult offer.
  • Support funding including learning and learner support.

There will be two virtual provider events taking place on the 13th and the 14th January.  

Sheffield City Region AEB

We are still expecting the Sheffield City Region AEB procurement to be published this week with a deadline for submissions being the 2nd February.  It is anticipated that the contract will be worth £33million over a three year period and will be divided into four lots:

Lot 1: Supporting Residents into employment.

Lot 2: Provision for adults in employment (self-employed) or at risk of redundancy.

Lot 3: No young person left behind.

Lot 4: Test and Learn Adult Key Worker Model.

West Yorkshire Combined Authority AEB Second Round

Applicants to the WYCA AEB SQ round will have now been notified if they will be invited to tender for the mini-competition due to be published in January 2021.
